Pediatric Dental Treatments Applied in Our Clinic
As we mentioned in our poster, we perform all preventive and therapeutic applications related to children's teeth in our clinic:
- Milk Tooth Root Canal Treatment: Milk teeth have nerve vessels just like permanent teeth. In deep decays, instead of extracting the tooth, the tooth is kept in the mouth with root canal treatment. Thus, the chewing function of the child is preserved.
- Milk Tooth Filling: Milk tooth decay, which is neglected by saying "it will fall out anyway", disrupts the health of the underlying permanent tooth and causes pain. We protect the dental health of the child by treating these teeth with colored or white fillings.
- Space Retainer Applications: If the deciduous teeth are lost prematurely due to decay or trauma, the adjacent teeth slide into this space. This closes the space for the permanent tooth coming from below and causes dental crowding (the need for braces) in the future. Space maintainers protect this space and prevent future orthodontic problems.
